FCSF CONSTRUCTION • DAY TEN

Second in a series - look closely - work has been done.
Items of note:

A Move-in Date Pool is running. The official date is April 17th.
One of the architects saw that Ben has put his money on
April 10th
and thinks that is the good bet.
Tony is furiously adding up the thousands of feet of cable runs.

The Editors are debating how it'll be decided who gets which suite:

draw straws, wrestle, or make Masaki decide.

Susan Gets Animated

After five star-studded years at the side of Mark Sterne running the machines of FCSF Distribution, Susan is jetting off across the bay to Emeryville and that city's anchor business - Pixar. You may have heard of them. Color Grader that's what Susan will be. Color grading, timing, and correcting the animated-cinematic stories of Pixar. The trailer for their latest can be seen here. We wish her the best.

Viscount Elroy the Poop Thrower

He valiantly returns to his rightful place on the wall of FCf'ingNY.
Where his adventure took him, we shall never know.
What scars he now possesses, we shall never understand.
Who perpetrated this dark history, we shall seek out with finality.

The Rick Returns

Rick Kwanza was celebrated at the FCf'ingNY, heralding
the return of Rick B.
The celebration traditionally lasts for
nine days to five and half months or so. Traditionally,
nine balloons are blown up
to represent each day of
Rick Kwanza.
One balloon is popped each day to signify
the completion of that day's wiring, server installation
or miscellaneous troubleshooting.

Happy Rick Kwanza to all. Keep up the good work Rick B.

FCSF CONSTRUCTION • DAY THREE

Here is the first of what I hope to be a running series of pics
snapped by the incomparable Tony "The Tuna" Cox.
A few items to note about this first week of construction:

Monday DAY 1 was cancelled due to an act of
God
visiting the law firm upstairs.

Tuesday DAY 2 had one worker dealing with J Hooks
(previously noted
here).
Wednesday DAY 3 had two workers sweeping.

Enjoy.

F'ing Serious

Keith cut this spot for Sirius. Watch it.

So It Begins

Mark it - 1.9.06 - the first day of construction on the new FCSF digs. As this goes to press a solitary figure on a rolling piece of scaffolding has been spending the last two days pulling "J Hooks" out of the ceiling. Nothing more exciting than that. But it is a beginning.

Don't you wish your Filmcore was hot like ours?

Here are some dreamy pics from our Holiday Party. This year we went to Buca di Beppo's on Howard Street and dined on Italian cuisine. Good times were had by all, some more than others, but all in all we can together as a family, as a team. Filmcore for life.

Wishes 2006

How to strike out in this inaugural post of the New Year?
This has been on my mind since the last post of 2005.
Let's set a tone and go for something a bit sweet, a tad cheery
and somewhat sincere.

For Tiffany I wish "Lemons" wins. I wish Tim Jacobs wins the
Oscar Pool. For Steve I wish good
Britney Spears gossip.
For FCSF I wish 6 gleaming new edit suites and an office
for Mark Sterne by early spring(summer?).
For Ricardo
I wish he and Dave Attel become best friends.
I wish a Monkey Pope v.2.0 for Andrew.
For Keith and Jon I wish it rains...hard(jobs that is).
For me? You may ask...? I wish for a glass of Prosecco
mid-day-everyday, a couple of V.O. gigs
and I'll take some rain too.
For the rest of y'all - Let it rain!
Here's to a good year ahead of us.
Maybe these pictures will help set the tone for 2006.
